The Hall of Hercules or the Viceroy’s Hall at the Royal Palace of Naples in Italy

The Hall of Hercules This Viceroy’s Hall came to be known as the Hall of Hercules simply because a plaster cast of the Farnese Hercules, which is housed in the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
This particularly spacious room is decorated with large tapestries by Pietro Duranti depicting the story of Cupid and Psyche, produced by the Royal Manufactory of Naples between 1788 and 1789.
These tapestries draw on the theme of Apuleius’ fable concerning the love of Psyche and Cupid, son of Venus.

The Hall of Hercules A large Sèvres porcelain vase, along with other Limoges porcelain vases, were subsequently decorated in Naples by Giovine in 1847.
Other Sèvres porcelain vases and flower pots, also decorated by Giovine, are displayed on the console tables along the walls.
These vases depict biblical scenes, as well as mythological and historical scenes.
The Guard Room at the Royal Palace of Naples
This room, known as the Guard Room, features four large tapestries depicting the four elements.They were created in Naples at the Royal Tapestry Workshop by the artist Domenico Del Rosso between 1740 and 1746.
